Rabbit Ranch Pinot Gris, being a mutation of Pinot Noir, revels in the Central Otago conditions that suit Pinot Noir so beautifully - a long slow ripening period is desirable, with cool nights and warm days as the Autumn harvest approaches. The Rabbit Ranch Pinot Gris has a mineral acidity backbone and an off dry finish that gives the wine a delicious structure and refreshing style.

Made from 100% Central Otago Pinot Noir fruit, lightly pressed to extract just enough colour to deliver the provencal-esque pale pink. Crafted from hand-picked fruit and matured in neutral oak, the palate is smooth and generous with juicy stone fruit, lifted by fresh citrus and finishing with a subtle hint of toasted almond.

Intense nashi pear and floral jasmine aromatics to intrigue the senses. On the palate, the wine is luscious and succulent with brown pear, lychee and quince flavours. There is a bright acidity that brings juiciness to the palate and gives a long, pear and spice-flavoured finish.

The Grenache imparts a juicy, red-fruited core with flavors of ripe cherries and red currants. Syrah contributes a gentle spiciness, with notes of white pepper and a touch of lavender. Cinsault brings a delicate, silky texture, along with flavors of pink grapefruit and a hint of tart cranberry.
